Gilbert Glimpses

Mr. Chris Peterson died Wednesday at 2 a.m. at the age of 87 years. Mr. Peterson was born at Fyen, Denmaark, Oct. 22, 1842. He came to America in 1872 and settled in Story county, Iowa. In 1879 he married Sophia Sorensen at Nevada. They moved on a farm three miles southwest of Story City. Mr. Peterson farmed until 1914, when he moved to Gilbert. His wife died April 3, 1929.

He leaves one brother, Andrew Peterson of Marathon, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, 1 o'clock at the home, 2 o'clock at the Gilbert Lutheran church, with Rev. Heimarck in charge of the services. Burial in the Lutheran cemetery.
