OBITUARIES
Anders J. Anderson
Anders J. Anderson was born in Denmark, Feb. 15, 1861, and departed this life near Story City August 20, 1921, being 60 years, 6 months and 5 days old.
He came to this country with his parents in 1873, at the age of 12 years, and settled on the old homestead near Story City, where he has since made his home.
He was united in marriage to Miss Sophia Nelson at Randall, Iowa, Jan. 8, 1890. To this union one child was born, namely, John L. Anderson, who farms the home place.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, one son, John; two grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. L. T. Anderson of Carroll and Mrs. Ole Johnson of Algona and many other relative and friends, who will greatly miss him.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran church, and united with the Grace Evangelical church in 1916, of which he has been a faithful attendant.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from Grace church by Rev. L. F. Smith. Interment took place in Fairview cemetery.
The out of town relatives in attendance at the funeral were: Mrs. L. G. Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. Anderson and son Robert, Misses Minnie and Harriett Anderson of Carroll; Mrs. Ole Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Johnson, Mr. Geo. Johnson, Mrs. William Cosgrove of Algona; and Mrs. E. H. Hager of Alden.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the many neighbors and friends for their help and sympathy during the sickness, death and burial of our dear husband and father. Also to the choir and for the many beautiful flowers.
