OBITUARY

Rasmus Thorson

Rasmus Thorson was born in Norway June 4, 1848, and died at his home in Story City April 5, 1919, at the age of 70 years and 10 months. He was taken down with the flu, from which he had a setback and he was quite sick for some weeks before his death.

The deceased was married in Norway and he and his wife immigrated to America about 39 years ago. They settled at Lisbon, Ill., where they made their home until 1894, when they moved to Iowa and here they have lived and reared their family ever since.

The wife and five children survive to mourn the loss of a loved husband and father. The children are: Mrs. Carrie Henderson, Nels Thorson and Mrs. Lizzie Jacobson of this place and Peter and Gerhard Thorson of Butterfield, Minn.

The funeral services were held in the Immanuel church, of which the deceased was a valued member, and the interment was made at the local cemetery.
