Funeral of Mrs. O. Holt

On Friday morning from the home, 109 Clinton street, the funeral of Mrs. O. Holt was held, the Rev. M. V. Higbee, pastor of the First Presbyterian church being in charge. The L. A. of the B. of R. T. also took part in the services, and Mrs. Clarence Kelley and Miss Olive Zimbeman sang, "Rock of Ages," and "The Sweet Bye and Bye," accompanied by Mrs. John Dyer. The pall bearers were J. W. Potter, A. Hanchin, J. M. Stensland, J. L. Canady, J. P. Baker and Charles Gorey.

The remains were taken to Story City, accompanied by members of the family and several friends, where interment was made.

Elizabeth Marie Peterson was born in Valen, Norway, Oct. 29, 1874. She came to America in 1891 and 1898 was married to Osmond Holt of Story City, Ia. The home has been in Boone for the past seven years. Five children have been born to this union one son dying in infancy. The surviving children are Thelma, Marvel, Ora and Thomas Edward, all of whom with the father, will continue to live at the home, 109 Clinton street. Mrs. Holt's aged father and one brother still live in Norway. Two brothers and four sisters also remain as follows: P. O. Peterson of Gilbert, Ia.; Torkel Peterson of Haswell, Colo.; Mrs. C. L. Davenport of Des Moines; Mrs. John Egeland of Livingston, Mont.; Mrs. Ulric Fevem and Mrs. John Bergesen of San Francisco, Calif.

Mrs. Holt had been in poor health for the past year and every effort was made to save her life. She passed away at the Nevada Hospital at 3:00 A. M. Tuesday Nov. 5th, aged 44 years and 7 days. She was confirmed in the Lutheran church and with her husband was connected with St. Petri's Lutheran church at Story City, where a service was held preceding interment in the cemetery at that place.
