MRS. SHEFFIELD IS DEAD
Old Resident Passed Away at Sanitarium Saturday Morning
Mrs. Louise Sheffield died at the Story City sanitarium at an early hour last Saturday morning. She had been in failing health for two years, and several weeks ago it was found necessary to remove her from her home to the sanitarium. She grew steadily worse, and it was evident some time ago that her end was near.
The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Grace church, of which she has been a member since 1909, and the remains were laid to rest in the Sheffield cemetery, southeast of town.
Mrs. Sheffield was born in Missouri 63 years ago. At this writing very little data of her life is available. She has lived here for more than thirty years and except for several step-sons she leaves no near relatives here. One sister in Texas was unable to come to the funeral.
In his funeral sermon Rev. Wendel call especial attention to the deceased's faithfulness in reading her Bible and attendance at thee Sunday school, the prayer meetings and the regular Sunday services of her church. He also called to mind her thoughtfulness of friends and the little tokens she made from time to time for those she loved.
