Obituary.
Scott A. Sheffield was born on Feb. 6th, 1883 and died Oct. 11, 1902, at Laramie, Wyoming, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Bert Shirkey.
He had been sick about one year and four months with typhoid fever when death claimed him. He was at all times patient and cheerful and often made us of the expression "everyone is so good to me."
Scott was one of a family of four boys and four girls, one sister, Eva, having died some eleven years ago with the same disease. Everything that kind hands and hearts could do was done for him. "I was an angel's visit to green earth and took the flower away."
The remains were brought to Story City from Wyoming, on Wednesday morning. The funeral services conducted by Rev. McKay, were held in the Sheffield school house, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the body laid to rest in Sheffield cemetery. Scott was a good boy and his friends might be found where ever he was acquainted. The sympathy of a host of friends is extended the bereaved relatives.
