DEATH OF MRS. JOHN SCHLEGEL

Mary Amelia Schlegel (Reischauer) was born in Story county Oct. 22nd, 1868 and died Dec. 8th, 1913, aged 45 years, one month and 17 days. She was united in marriage to John J. Schlegel March 10th, 1891. To this union were born four children. She is survived by her husband, and children, Mrs. Grace Odelia Allie, Mrs. Ella Augusta Hubner, Leonard Fred and Howard John and a step-daughter Mrs. Dora Sinn.

She also leaves to mourn her loss a mother, five sisters and brother: Mrs. Johanna Bockwoldt of Stanhope, Mrs. Julia Hollingsworth of Ollie, Mrs. Lena Miller of Orillia, Mrs. Clara Kammin of Story City, Mrs. Ella Grove of Jewell and Chas. F. Reischauer of Story City. Her father, two sisters and a brother preceded her to the better land.

The deceased had been failing in health for several years. She bore her long intense suffering with patience, always resigned to the will of God. She was of pleasant and cheerful disposition and will be greatly missed in her home from which she has departed that now has a deep shadow of sorrow, her relatives and many friends.
