OBITUARY

CHRISTI HANSON.

As announced in our news columns two weeks ago, Miss Christi Hanson died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines Aug. 22, 1913, aged 33 years, 11 months and 28 days, she having been bord Aug. 24, 1879.

She was confirmed by Rev. Tanner Nov. 19, 1893, in the South St. Petri church. Besides her sorrowing parents Mr. and Mrs. John Hanson, she leaves 5 brothers and 3 sisters who feel the loss of a well loved sister very keenly. The latter are: Mrs. Nels Jacobson of Story City; Mrs. Peter Wierson of Carpio, N. D.; Belle Hanson of Gilbert; Brint Hanson of Ames; M. L. Hanson of Goldfield; and Lewis and John Hanson of Story City.

Christi did not have along sickness. She did not feel very well about a week before her death, but went to Gilbert to spend a few days; from there she went to Des Moines to consult a doctor on Wednesday, and on Friday evening she passed into the great beyond.

The funeral was held on Wednesday Aug. 27, Rev. Paulsrud and Rev. Wee officiating. The former spoke in Norwegian at the home and at the church and the latter spoke in English. The church was filled to the door by the friends and relatives of the deceased who had come to pay their respects to her memory. The remains were laid to rest in the South St. Petri cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Hanson and the remaining brothers and sisters wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the many friends who showed their sympathy and thus helped them bear the heavy loss they have sustained; especially would they thank the members of the South St. Petri congregation who so beautifully decorated the church, and for the many beautiful flowers brought to the funeral.
