YOUNG WIFE DIED MONDAY

SAD MESSAGE CONVEYS NEWS THAT MRS. SIGURD OLSEN HAD PASSED AWAY

The sad news reached here late Monday afternoon that Mrs. Sigurd Olsen was very low at the Norwegian-American hospital at Chicago with a request that relatives come at once. About eight o'clock the same evening another message was received that she had passed away. Her sisters, Mrs. Martin Vallem, of Garden City, and Miss Josie Prescott, of this place, left the same evening for Chicago, but had already left when the message ofh er death reached here. Mr. Olsen arrived here with the remains yesterday morning, and the funeral services are being held this afternoon from Salem Lutheran church, Rev. J. N. Sandven preaching the funeral sermon.

Nora Prescott was born on the Prescott homestead seven miles northeast of here, March 3, 1897 and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Prescott, now residing in Roland. On February 23, 1921, she was united in marriage to Mr. Sigurd Olsen, of this place. They resided here until a year ago last spring, when the moved to Chicago. She had been somewhat poorly for some time and two weeks ago was taken to the hospital for the purpose of having an operation performed; but was too weak and she passed away on July 7, 1924, being 27 years, 4 months and 4 days old when called to her reward. Besides her sorrowing husband and parents, she leaves to mourn her untimely death, one brother and seven sisters, Mr. Joseph Prescott, Taopi, Minn.; Mrs. J. A. Knudtson, Roland; Mrs. E. J. Nelson, Randall; Mrs. E. J. Britson, Northwood; Mrs. Ray Charleson, Radcliffe; Mrs. G. M. Hatteberg, Radcliffe; Mrs. Martin Vallem, Garden City; Miss Josie Prescott, Roland, and a large host of other relatives and friends.
