FORMER RICHLAND MAN DIES

Chris Larson, passed away at his home at Nevada last Saturday morning at the age of 73 [see note below] years, from paralysis complicated with uremia. Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church at Nevada, Monday afternoon.

Mr. Larson formerly resided on a farm about nine miles southeast of Roland and was known to many of our readers, but retired from the farm several years ago, moving to Nevada. He leaves his wife, four children, Mrs. S. B. Nordskog, of Marshalltown; Mrs. Harrison Huntrod, of Nevada; Lewis Larson, of McCallsburg; Chris Larson, jr. of Nevada; and four step-children, J. C. Jessen, Story City; Martin Malmanger and Jesse Jessen, Nevada and Miss Emma Jessen, Chicago.

[Poster note: from the grave marker Chris was born in 1845 making him 79 years old, not 73. The marker also has his full given name, Christian.]
