OLAF OLSON DIED MONDAY

Olaf L. Olson died Monday afternoon at his home, after a short illness. His death was caused by pneumonia which followed an attack of the flu. He was sick just a few days. He was about 51 years old. Mr. Olson was a well-known carpenter here, having lived in this community for a number of years. He leaves his wife and three small children. Funeral services are being held today at 2 o'clock at Immanuel church.

Olaf L. Olson was born in Norway January 16, 1876, and died at his home in Story City on May 30, 1927, at 2:50 p.m. of flu pneumonia.

He came to America at the age of 4 years and with the exception of 5 years in North Dakota, has spent most of his life in and around Story City.

His mother died when Olaf was but 12 years old and his father, Lassa Olson, died 7 years ago. Mr. Olson is the last of his family, four sisters, one brother and parent having preceded him in death.

He has been a faithful member of St. Petri church, also the choir and Bible class and will be greatly missed by everyone and most of all by his family. He leaves to mourn his sudden death, his wife Anna, and children Harold Noel and Doris Ruth; one niece, Florence Eisenlohr of Gilbert, besides a host of other relatives and friends. "Pease be with him."

Mr. Olson had realized all spring that his health was failing and seemed to feel that a change was coming and his words always were, "Trust in the Lord." From his testimony before his death we have faith that he is safe at home with his Saviour.
