Lars Howland

Lars Howland was born in Os, Bergenstift, Norway, May 8, 1838. He came to America in 1869, and passed away on his old homestead where they have lived since married 50 years ago, Feb. 17, 1925, at the age of 86 years and nine months old.

On March 6, 1874, he was married to Carrie Thompson. To this union ten children were born. He leaves his wife, three daughters and six sons to mourn his death.

Funeral services were held last Friday from the South St. Petri church, where a host of friends and relatives were gathered to bid him his last farewell.
