OBITUARY

Thor J. Omvig

Thor J. Omvig was born Jan. 6, 1840, in Norway, and died in Story City Nov. 11, 1922, at the age of 82 years, 9 months, 4 days.

He came to America in 1861 and was married to Alice Mason July 5, 1866. Thirteen children were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy. Twelve children, besides the widow, survive to mourn the death of a kind father.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Anna Munsen, Mrs. Bertha Sylvester, Tom, Edward and Martin of this place, Lars of Stanhope, Mrs. Sven Stout of Jewell, Mrs. Erick Malmanger of Elmore, Minn., Emil of Wells, Minn., Mrs. Martha Malmanger of Ames, Mrs. Lewis Stout of Rosendale and John of Hardy.
