HENRY LUGLAN

Henry Luglan was born in Pontiac, Ill., March 26, 1864. On May 5, 1891 he was married to Miss Tena Rorem. They made their home at Mt. Vernon, S. Dak., form 1891 to 1893. They then moved to Dawson, Minn., where they loved until 1910 when they moved to Radcliffe, Ia., which was their home until moving to Story City in 1943.

The last couple years his health had been failing, gradually, and about three weeks ago he was taken to the hospital in Ames, where he passed away April 10, aged 82 years and 14 days.

His beloved wife, four sons and two daughters survive him. The sons are O. L. Luglan of Kerville, Texas, G. L. Luglan of Ames, Dr. H. G. Luglan of Duluth, Minn., and Al L. Luglan of Chicago. The daughters are Mrs. M. O. Butler of Hampton and Mrs. B. M. Howell of Story City. There are 8 grandchildren.

Two sisters also survive him, namely Mrs. Martha Engelson of Story City and Mrs. Malinda Olson of Humboldt, Ia.

May God bless his memory to all his friend and his posterity.

The funeral was held in the Henderson funeral parlor with Rev. Carlsen officiating. The casket bearers were nephews of the deceased, namely, Eric Aarvig, Elmer Engelson, Oliver Engelson, Melvin Engelson, John Severaid and Ward Pierson.

Sonja Carlsen sang, with Mrs. Lester Henderson accompanying. Interment was in the Story City cemetery.
