Former county recorder dies

NEVADA-Sina Olava Kloster Moran, 84, of 415 G Avenue in Nevada died Tuesday evening at the North Grand Care Center. Sina Moran was a former Story County Recorder and had been in Ames for the past three weeks.

Moran was born in Huxley, December 6, 1892, to Anders and Anna Kloster. She married Frank (Tim) Moran in November of 1948. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

She is survived by a sister, Carrie Severeid, of Seattle, Washington; three nephews and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and her husband who died in 1949.

Funeral services will be held from the Memorial Lutheran Church, Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Walter E. Lack officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends may call at Ryan's until noon Friday. A memorial fund has been established.
