Services Held for Andy Bryant, 83

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Sheldahl for Andy Bryant, who passed away Thursday evening at the Elm Crest Nursing Home in Des Moines.

Rev. Wm. T. Hoyle officiated Lester Moore was soloist, singing "Cloudless Day" and "Sunrise Tomorrow," accompanied by Mrs. Hoyle at the piano. Mrs. Jacob Muehlenthaler, Mrs. August Carlson and Mrs. Irving Alleman cared for the flowers.

Pallbearers were Olaf Austin, Geo. Hermann, Arnold DeBie, J. C. Burkey, Walter Graeber and Fred Muehlenthaler.

Obituary

Andrew Bryant, son of Sarah and James Bryant, was born Aug. 8, 1874, near Sheldahl. He passed away June 6 at the Elm Crest Nursing Home in Des Moines at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 29 days.

His father passed away when he was but a lad of 8 years; later his mother married Levi Reasoner.

He was united in marriage to Lena Stenson on Mar. 19, 1898, at Slater. To this union was born five sons and one daughter. The Bryants spent their life in or near Sheldahl.

Preceding his death were his father and mother; his wife; a sister, Gertrude, and two brothers, Samuel and Arthur.

Survivors include his five sons, Jesse, Floyd, Roy and Ralph of Sheldahl and Delmar of Boone; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Carlson of Polk City; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
