Ames Funeral Rites For Paul D. Sydnes

Funeral services for Paul D. Sydnes were held Monday at 10:30 a. m. at the First Christian Church in Ames. The Rev. Ed Moore was in charge.

"What a Friend We Have in Jesus" was sung by Raymond Wee of Des Moines and Omar Brendeland also sang "The Lord's Prayer."

Pallbearers were Larry Hill, Gary Thompson, Herman Kennedy, Donald Tesdell, Joe Beaman and Ron Barnard.

Interment was in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Obituary

Paul Dennis Sydnes was born near Huxley on July 1, 1938 and passed away on Aug. 8, 1963 at the age of 25 years.

He was united in marriage to Jacquelyn McClure of Ames on June 22, 198 and made Ames his home, where he worked as a master plumber.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the First Christian Church of Ames at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Jackie Sydnes; one daughter, Kathy, 3 1/2 years; a son, Steve, 1 year; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tilmer Sydnes of Huxley; four sisters, Linda, at home, Sandra of Ames, Helen (Mrs. Kenneth Kochheiser) of Ankeny, and Janet (Mrs. Gary Thompson) of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Carroll of near Huxley; his grandfather, N. T. Sydnes of Des Moines, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene, in July 1955.
