SLATER

Mrs. Helen Opdahl, wife of L. C. Opdahl, died Monday afternoon at her home southeast of town and is to be buried this (Wednesday) afternoon. Deceased has been suffering from consumption for many years and for some time previous to her death was very ill. Mrs. Opdahl was raised in this township, being a daughter of John Richardson, who lived one mile north of Huxley. She was at the time of her death about 35 years of age, and leaves to mourn her demise a loving husband and two children of tender age, besides mother and two brothers. Being a woman of quiet disposition and loyal to home and family, she was not wont to complain during her long illness, but labored incessantly for those whom she loved and who needed her hep and care, until finally physical endurance was exhausted. It is a lonely home where a dutiful wife and mother has been taken away in the prime of life and father and children are left to miss her companionship, care and counsel. We extend our sincerest sympathy to the mourners and commend them to Him who doeth all things wisely and can heal the wounded hearts.
