Very Sudden Death at Collins Thursday

Special to the Journal.
Collins, June 2--George H. Burt, 73, a resident of Collins for the past fifteen years, died very sudden Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from the effects of a stroke.

He was born in Madison county, May 7, 1861, a son of George and Mary Burt and there grew to manhood. He was married to Nancy Ann Fivecoat, June 30, 1883 and to that union seven children were born, two dying in infancy. Those living are Mrs. Jessie Moffett of Glenwood, Minn.; Mrs. Nellie Lewison of McCook, Neb.; Richard Burt of Marion, Iowa; Roy Burt of Colfax, Iowa and Maude Burt who lived with her father in Collins.

The wife died March 13, 1917, while the family were living in Huxley.

Mr. Burt had lived for many years in Maxwell, Huxley and Collins. He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a half sister, Mrs. Rebecca Gracey of Traer, Iowa.

Funeral arrangements have not been definitely made but will probably be held at the home Sunday afternoon and burial will be in the Fieldberg cemetery near Huxley by the side of his wife.
