Rites set for C. A. Rosenfeld

Carl A. Rosenfeld, 89, rural Kelley, died unexpectedly at his home about 2 a.m. today.

Mr. Rosenfeld was for Dec. 10, 1875, on the same farm near Kelley, and lived there all his life.

He had been in the Angus cattle business since 1905, and was a farmer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ames, of Ames, of Ames Masonic bodies and of Za-Ga-Zig.

Mr. Rosenfeld was a member of the American Angus Breeders Association, and served as president in 1922. He also served on the Kelley school board for a time.

He is survived by two sons, George A. of Storm Lake and Clyde L. of Kelley; a daughter, Louise Rosenfeld, 711 12th St. and five grandchildren.

Mr. Rosenfeld was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Christina, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley P. Borden officiating. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Adams Funeral Home until noon, Saturday.

A memorial fund for the church has been established.
