Funeral Services for Mrs. Askelson

Special to the Journal.
Story City, May 5--Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Askelson who passed away at her home 2 3/4 miles north of Story City on Friday evening at 8 o'clock, will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the Grace Evangelical church, Rev. G. l. Bergeman officiating.

The services will be preceded by a prayer service at the home of her brother, K. F. Johnson. Burial will be in the south lot, St. Petri cemetery. Mrs. Askelson was a pioneer resident of this community, having immigrated here from Norway with her parents, when she was a baby.

She suffered a stroke a week and a half ago, but has been practically helpless for the past four years.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Albert of Austin, Minn., and Carl of Story City. She also leaves three brothers and one sister, namely K. F. Johnson of Story City, John and Nels Frette of Hewitt, Minn. and Mrs. Betsy Folger of Marshalltown.
