A. J. Anfinson Buried Sunday

Died Very Suddenly Last Wednesday Night at the Home of a Son at Nevada

A. J. Anfinson, long time citizen of Palestine township, but late a resident of Nevada, died very suddenly last Wednesday night at the home of a son, Omer, a victim of a heart attack. He had been spending the evening up town and had been in his usual health. Coming home at about 11:30 he fell over as he was hanging up his coat. He was dead before the doctor arrived.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Nevada Seventh Day Adventist church, of which he had been a member in recent years. Burial was made in the Nevada cemetery.

Mr. Anfinson was born in Norway on June 4, 1865. He came to America with his parents when a young boy. They settled on what is now known as the Anfinson homestead west of Huxley. There he grew to manhood and married Miss Anna Heggen*. They made that community their home till 1909, when they moved to South Dakota. After a five years' residence there they moved back to Iowa, locating on a farm near Nevada. Later they moved to Nevada, where he has lived a major part of the time ever since.

Deceased was the father of fourteen children, of whom eleven survive him. Of these, three live in Nevada--Alfred, Omer and Leonard. The others are scattered. He was a brother of Lew Anfinson, east of Slater.

Deceased was for many years a member of the Lutheran church. Several years ago he accepted the faith of the Seventh Day Adventist church, of which he was a member at the time of his death.
