Helen Louise Miller, 94, of Kelley passed away July 12, 2023 at The Bridges of Ankeny. Funeral services will be Monday July 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Palestine Lutheran Church in rural Huxley. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Bethany Church Cemetery near Kelley.

Helen was born on November 16, 1928 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines to Ralph and Grace (Hughes) Carroll. She married Ervin Milller in 1949. He passed away on June 18, 2007.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Jacalyn (Gary) Fjelland of Alleman, Janet (Marty) Eslick of Ankeny and Kristine (Drew) Polich of Sheldahl; son-in-law, Ron Bollmeyer of Huxley; her grandchildren, Ben (Stacy) Fjelland, Andy (Lindsay) Fjelland, Matt (Amber) Fjelland, Nick (Erin) Fjelland, Alex (Angela) Bollmeyer, Kennedy Bollmeyer, Mitch Eslick and Molly (Mike) Kremer; 13 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; daughter, Deborah Bollmeyer; grandson, Ryan Polich; sisters, Margaret (Bob) Knox, Florence (Ralph) Bryant, Catherine (John) Santi; brother, William “Bill” (Mariana) Carroll and nephews, Darwin Knox, Ron Santi and Ramond Santi.

The family would like to thank Bridges of Ankeny and Suncrest Hospice for the care they gave Helen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palestine Lutheran Church or the family.
