Former Sheldahl Resident is Dead

SHELDAHL -- Gertrude Graeber, 4429 York Ave. South, Minneapolis, Minn., who was well known and beloved by relatives and friends in Sheldahl and neighboring towns, passed away Jan. 28 at the age of 75 years.

Services were held at Albinson-Peterson Chapel, Minneapolis, with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandchildren: William Timmerman, LeRoy Bloom, Stanley Carlson, Robert Bloom, Lawrence Bloom and Ralph Rundquist.

Gertrude Bryant was born Jan. 8, 1879 in Polk County, Ia., a daughter of Sarah and James Bryant. Her father died when she was quite small. She was raised by a step-father, the late Levi Reasoner.

On Feb. 23, 1898 she was united in marriage to Jacob Graeber at Des Moines. They moved to North Dakota in 1908 and later moved back to Sheldahl for a few years before moving to Minneapolis in 1919.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, step-father and two brothers, Arthur and Sam. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Bell Bloom and Mrs. Margaret G. LaSalle, both of Minneapolis; two sons, Forrest V. of St. Louis Park, Minn., and Alden H. of Minneapolis; a brother, Andy Bryant of Sheldahl; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
