OBITUARY

Mrs. Helga Weeks passed away peacefully after a long illness, Monday morning, Mar. 2nd at her home in Slater, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 2 days.

She was born of parents Thomas and Mary, Aug. 30, 1867, near Madison, Wis. At the age of 6 months she came with her parents to Iowa and settled on a farm southeast of Slater, where she grew to womanhood. She was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

February 26, 1885, she was united in marriage to Wier Weeks. They made their home southeast of Slater all their married life, except for a few years when they lived south of Sheldahl.

Five children were born to this union, (Mabel) Mrs. Harvey Michaelson, (Sadie) Mrs. Randall Reinertson, (Alice) Mrs. Carl Torgerson, and Thomas and Howard Weeks, all of whom live in this vicinity.

She is also survived by 17 grand children and 34 great-grand children, one brother John Nervig of Spokane, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. A. M. Robbins of Ames.

Mr. Weeks passed away Aug. 9, 1935.

Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Bethlehem congregation and the Ladies Aid.

Besides her relatives, she leaves to mourn her passing, a number of friends.
