THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, May 2, 1895, page 5, column 3.
“Rev. Ferguson, on last Sabbath at 11 a.m. conducted a service in the M. E. Church, Johnson’s Grove, in memory of the little son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Harris living south of McCallsburg. The little boy died Feb 26, with what the physicians claimed to be diphtheria. The funeral service at the time could not be held, and hence this service. A very large congregation was present.”
