THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, April 14, 1887, page 1, column 3.
“DIED: Thursday, April 7, ’87, at the residence of Mr. Asa Turner, in Polk Co., Henry Hougue, in his 14 year. Henry was an obedient, kind and obliging boy, beloved by all who knew him. He had just started out to do what he could towards aiding his parents, this being his first year away from home. He was attacked with lung fever, and amidst the best of care and attention Death claimed him. His remains were conveyed to the home of his parents, at Huxley, from where they were interred. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all.”
