Obituary of Mrs. O. M. Neslund
Mrs. Bertha Larson Neslund was born at Sundsvall, Sweden, January 1st, 1867, and died at the home of her daughter at Spicer, Minnesota, November 1, 1933, attaining the age of 66 years and 10 months. She came to America with her parents in 1882. She was united in marriage to Olaf Neslund on April 16th, 1885, who preceded her in death in March, 1919. To them were born four children all of whom survive her. They are Clarence of Des Moines; Alvin and Arthur of Wilmar, Minn., and Mrs. Mildred Nelson of Spicer, Minn., and six grandchildren. She is also mourned by three sister and two brothers. The are Mrs. Alf Nelson of Mt. Vernon, Washington; Mrs. Esther Peterson of Ft. Dodge, Mrs. Fred Nelson of Madrid, Albin Larson of Albyn, Wyoming. and Herbert Larson of near Slater.
The deceased, following her conversion in 1896, joined the Swedish Baptist church of Des Moines of which she continued as a member as long as she lived. Her friends, and she had many of them, will remember her as kind, christian woman, with an influence that counted for good in life.
