Funeral Services for Thomas Moland, 90

Funeral services for Thomas Moland were held Saturday, Sept. 23 at 1:30 p. m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church at Kelley. Rev. Bruce Ulstad was in charge of the services. The soloist was Mrs. Robert Gustafson accompanied by the organist, Mrs. Lowell Accola.

Pallbearers were Orlin Lein, Frank Seafield, John Weeks, Wayne Osterhout, Porter Chelsvig and Jeffery Richardson.

Interment was in the Bethany Cemetery south of Kelley.

Thomas Moland was born Nov. 10, 1881 at rural Kelley and died Sept. 20, 1972 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He had lived in the Kelley area most of his 90 years. He is survived by his wife, Clara; his son Leroy of rural Kelley; his daughter, Mrs. Arlene Parks of Albuquerque, N. M.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Moland; three grandsons, Scott, Todd and Daniel Parks; and other relatives and friends.

Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the services included Mrs. Arlene Parks and Todd of Albuquerque, N. M., Mr. and Mrs. Orven Walker of Kenyon, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Gordie Richardson of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Robert Mills of Winterset, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Fletcher of Van Meter, Mr. and Mrs. G. William Parks, Mrs. Phyllis Reynolds, Mrs. Mary Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Swanson.
