NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 8, 2005.

Ruby was born on February 3, 1922 in Missouri to Manford and Dorothy (Berkshire) Hobson. She attended Fernald and Colo schools. Ruby married Wayne W. Otto on November 6, 1937 in Des Moines. She was homemaker and employed at Donnelley Marketing. Ruby was a member of the Rebekkah Club and enjoyed crocheting, watching soap operas, and listening to country music.

Ruby is survived by 4 sons, Ron Otto and Dennis Otto, both of Nevada, Earl Otto of Colo and David Otto of Maxwell; a daughter, Betty Huntrods, also of Nevada; and 16 grandchildren and 32 1/2 great grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wayne on January 3, 1999, a grandson, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Nevada or Homeward Hospice of Ames.
