Obituary.

Luther Cory was born in Story county, Iowa, December 8, 1952, and died at his home southwest of town January 6th, 1907 at the age of 54 years and 29 days. Mr. Cory was united in marriage with Sarah E. Kent, August 13th 1867 and to this union seven children were born. Bert Cory and Mrs. Grace Scott of Cambridge, Charles Cory of Armstrong, James, Sylvia, Robert and Sadie at home. All of the children were present at the funeral except Charles, who visited him a few days before his death. Besides the children Mr. Cory leaves a widow and six grandchildren to mourn his loss. Mr. Cory was a hard working man always doing for others. Having loved his own he loved them to the last.

Rev. J. H Rose of Nevada, preached to funeral sermon at the C. P. church, at 2 o'clock Tuesday, January 8, using the following test found in Job, 14:14 "Shall he live again?" after which the remains were interred in the McCallsburg cemetery.
