DEATH OF F. C. HUNTER.

Well known Citizen of Ames Died Last Week.

Ames, Oct. 16.--Franklin Columbus Hunter, whose death occurred at Ames Friday, was born June 24, 1830, in Fairfield county, Medicine township, Ohio, on Nov. 25, 1866, he was united in marriage to Miss Julia Betts at Senecor, Ohio, in 1856 he and his wife moved here. The following children were born: Francis Marion, Floridon Columbus, Alma Adelia, Franklin Manford, and Clarence Wilbur. Mrs. Hunter was an honored citizen and a kind husband and loving father. The children ware all present at his death except Clarence of North Dakota, and Manford of Minnesota, who were unable to be there. Besides his own children, he leaves one brother, Craig Hunter of Boone, and one sister Mrs. Sam Zenor also of Boone. Mr. Hunter lived on his farm north of Ames from 1856 until 1886 when he moved to Ames where he resided until his death at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jas. Arrasmith.
