DEATH OF AGED NEVADA RESIDENT
Mrs. Michael Hennessy died at the family residence on Jefferson Highway in this city on Friday morning at 10:30. Death was due to dropsy. Mrs. Hennessy, who had been a resident of Story County for twenty five years, had been in failing health for some years, but had been confined to her bed since last May.
She was born in County Louth, Ireland on March 17, 1852, and came with her parents to this country when she was three years of age, settling here that she was married to Michael Hennessy. In 1894 they moved to Story County, living on a farm in Milford township, until a few years ago when they moved to Nevada. She leaves to mourn her death beside her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Callahan of Peoria, Illinois, Julia Hennessy of Nevada and one son, William of Nevada. Two daughters preceded her in death being Margaret who died in infancy and Josephine who was killed by a Northwestern train in November 1911. She is also survived by three brothers, they being Barney Shields of Nevada and Thomas and James Shields of Minonk, Illinois. Funeral services were held this morning from St. Patrick's Catholic cathedral of which church she had been a life-long member.
