OBITUARY

GEORGE W. MARSH

George W. Marsh was born Sept. 2nd, 1859, died at his winter home, Biloxi, Miss., Jan. 13th, 1919, aged 59 years, 4 months and 11 days. His death was quite sudden only 12 hours of congestion of the lungs.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and two step daughter, Mrs. L. F. Jontz, Baxter, Ia. and Mrs. Frank Adams of Nevada, Ia. The body was brought to Collins and buried on his lot beside his mother.

The bereaved wife accompanied by Mrs. George M. Barnes of Nevada left Biloxi 12 P. M. Jan. 13th, arriving at Des Moines at 9:30 p. m., Jan. 15, there they were met by her two daughters and one grandson, they spent the night in Des Moines leaving for Collins at 11:20 a. m. Thursday.

The funeral party was met at the depot by I. O. O. F. of Rhodes, relatives and friends. The lodge took charge of the body and performed services at the cemetery.
