Former Zearing Man Died Suddenly at Marshalltown
Zearing, April 5--Funeral services for Frank E. LeRoy, 61, who died at his home on Third avenue, Marshalltown Sunday, will be held Wednesday afternoon at Marshalltown, after which the body will be brought to Zearing. Death occurred very suddenly from a heart attack.
Mr. LeRoy was born in Des Moines February 13, 1887, son of Charles of Bell LeRoy. Early in life he moved with his parents to the Zearing neighborhood. In 1905 he enlisted in the United States navy, serving for four years. After returning from the navy he married Miss Lucy Rowley in Marshalltown, June 24, 1909. There was one child born to them, Donald LeRoy, at home.
After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy operated a general store at Clemons for a number of years. After leaving the store at Clemons, he lived in Zearing and State Center, going to Marshalltown four years ago. Recently he had worked at the painting and papering trade. His widow and son survive.
He was a member of the Christian church at Zearing.
