Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Kurtz, 77, who died at Glendale, California, Saturday, were held at the church at Iowa Center Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Following the services, which were attended by a large group of relatives and oldtime friends, the body was laid to rest in the Iowa Center cemetery by the side of her husband, the late Andrew J. Kurtz, who died 8 years ago.
Services had been held at Glendale on Sunday, immediately after which her son Ernest Kurtz left for Iowa with the body, arriving at Maxwell Wednesday morning.
The other son, Ray Kurtz of O'Neill, Neb., with members of the family were also here for the service, as were granddaughters of the deceased from Des Moines.
