TOMLINSON, NELLIE MARIE ANDERSON (MRS. FORREST TOMLINSON) (1906-1986)

THE NEVADA JOURNAL, September 1986. “NELLIE MARIE TOMLINSON. – Nellie Marie Tomlinson, 80, died Monday, Sept. 22, 1986, in Little Rock AR. She was a resident of Des Moines IA. Mrs. Tomlinson was born June 30, 1906, in Searsboro IA to Guy and Ruby (Rankin) Anderson. She was married to Forrest Tomlinson Dec. 5, 1926, in Newton IA. She was a housewife and a member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest, on Oct. 18, 1985; and two brothers. Survivors include three daughters, Jean Marie Laws of Des Moines, Mary Lucher of Alvaredo TX and JoAnn Hammond of Hooker OK; a son, Forrest Jr. of Orlando FL; two sisters, Ruth Bridley of Gordonsille MN and Betty Twito of Lehigh IA; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell IA, with Rev. David Vernon officiating. Burial was in Collins Evergreen Cemetery.”
