Funeral at Slater Friday For Mrs. Albert Jorgenson

Slater, Nov. 28--Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Jorgenson of Des Moines were held Friday afternoon in Slater. The prayer service was held at one-thirty o'clock at the R-- Funeral Home by Rev. E. R. Rorem. Mrs. M. S. Heggen sang "In the Garden." At two o'clock services were held at the Bethlehem Lutheran church. Reading the 14th chapter of St. John and prayers were given by Rev. E. R. Rorem.

Rev. Frederick Wee-- of the St. John's Lutheran church of Des Moines gave the sermon and took for his text, Numbers Chap. 10, verse 29. The many beautiful floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Carrie Lande and Mrs. Ma--- Nervig.

The pall bearers were Thomas Brown, Kermit Granseth, Wayne Cole, John Brown, Melvin and Donald Brown.

A duet "Good Night and Good Morning" was sung by Mrs. A. J. Remert--- and Marshall Clark. A mixed quartette composed of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Peterson of Sheldahl, Marshall Clark and Mrs. M. S. Heggen sang "The Old Rugged Cross."

Anna Helena Brown was born January 21, 1877 in the Palestine community and died November 23, 1938 at Iowa City, at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 2 days. She was confirmed by Rev. Osmund Sheldahl, March 8, 1891, in Sheldahl. Her marriage to Albert Jorgenson took place March 27, 1904.. They made their home in Story City where they lived for several years and then moved to Slater where they lived for 12 years. The later moved to Des Moines where thy have since made their home. Two children blessed this union.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church in Des Moines and always took an active interest in the church circles a well as the community. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband and two children, a son Milo, and a daughter Joyce of Des Moines, also three sisters Mrs. Clarence Neslund of Des Moines, Mrs. H. C. Granseth and Miss Marie Brown of Slater, three brothers, Ed Brown of Ames, Ossey Brown and Milford Brown of Slater and a host of relatives and friends.
