THE NEVADA JOURNAL, January 1986. “KENNETH W. TOMLINSON. Kenneth W. Tomlinson, 84, of Des Moines, died Monday, December 30, 1985, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Cause of death was a heart attack following several days of illness. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 1986, at the Collins Christian Church, Collins, Iowa. Burial was in Peoria Cemetery, Maxwell, Iowa. Memorials will be accepted by Collins Christian Church. Mr. Tomlinson was born near Maxwell, Iowa. He had been a Des Moines resident for two years. Before that Mr. Tomlinson lived for 22 ½ years in Indianola, Iowa. Before thatm he was a businessman in Collins. The last businesses he ran were Collins Mercantile and Collins Hardware. Mr. Tomlinson was a member of Collins Christian Church, Masonic Lodge 53 of Indianola and O. E. S. 134 of Collins. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Holmes) Tomlinson of Des Moines, and a daughter, Joyce H. Brewer of Albuquerque, N. M. Funeral arrangements were conducted by Peterson Funeral Home of Indianola.”
