Mrs. C. Crabtree Funeral Services Held In Kelley

Mrs. C. S. Crabtree was born January 19, 1891 at Sheldahl, the daughter of George and Esther Cline. She was married Oct. 26, 1910 to C. Sherman Crabtree of Polk City.

Mrs. Crabtree lived in Sheldahl until 1936 when the family moved to Kelley. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregation Church of Kelley.

In 1960 more than 200 friends helped the couple celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Roy of Des Moines and Roger of El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Sage of Kelley and Mrs. Merritt Bailey of Ames; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Rose Dennis of Carthage, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Earl and Roy and two sisters, Nellie and Mary.

Funeral services were held Monday at her home church at 2 p.m. Rev. Walter Breggren of Ottumwa and Rev. Frank Perry officiating.

Two vocal numbers were sung by Lester Moore of Slater, accompanied by Mrs. Junior Hines. The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Russell Ross and Mrs. Edith Zimmerman. The funeral was directed by Ed Sundberg of Madrid. Interment was in the Sheldahl cemetery.
