Bert Bergland, 69 Dies at Home in McCallsburg Wed.

Bert Bergland, 69, died suddenly at his home in McCallsburg Wednesday. He was born November 25, 1892 in Norway and came to this country at the age of 15 years with his parents. For the past 55 years he made his home in McCallsburg.

Bergland was a member of the McCallsburg Lutheran Church, a World War Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in August of 1960.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Marlys) Dodd of Edgewood; a son, Bruce at home; three sisters, Mrs. Serina Knudsen of Norway, Mrs. Ole Riveland of Granora, N. D. and Mrs. Lars Riveland of Fortuna, N. D.; two brothers, Ed and Andrew, both of McCallsburg; and one grandson, James Dodd.

Funeral services will be Saturday at the Lutheran Church in McCallsburg at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Perry Heller officiating. Burial will be in the Warren Township cemetery at McCallsburg. The body will lie in state at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing until time of services.
