John K. Johnson, 81, of Salina, Kansas died very suddenly of a heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Johnson, 1702 third street, Nevada.
Mrs. Johnson, the daughter, had spent the past eight months with her father at his home in Salina and upon her return home two weeks ago the father came her for a visit.
The body is now at the Lilly Funeral home where prayer service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which the body will be taken to Salina for burial by the side of his wife. The service here will be in charge of Dr. J. O. Simon, pastor of Memorial Lutheran church.
Mr. Johnson, a native of Denmark, had resided on a farm north of Nevada for a number of years, but left here twenty-five or more years ago and located near Salina.
Besides the daughter here, he leaves sons Elmer and Knut Johnson at Ames and Dave, Martin, Nels and Hans at Salina. He also leaves a brother Chris Jenson of Lake Crystal, Minn., and a sister in Denmark.
Mr. Johnson is well remembered by many of the older residents of Nevada and vicinity as a man of very fine character.
