Obituary

Mrs. Anna Williams Nockling was born February 18, 1874 in Skaanevig, Norway. She came with her folks to this country in the year of 1893. December 17, 1898 she was married to Paul Nockling, of this place. They moved to Roland where Mr. Nockling works at his trade as a mason. The last two or three years she has not been quite well until death overtook her at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 1903. She was buried from Salem's church Friday afternoon, May 1, 1903, Rev. Sandven officiating. A large number of her friends followed her to her last resting place to do her the last honor here on earth. She was a quiet, peaceful woman, devoted to her home and husband, liked by all who came to know her. She died the death of a good wife and consistent Christian.
