Mrs. John Michel Funeral Services Held At Story C.

Funeral services for Mrs. John G. Michel were held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, west of Story City at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 11, with the Rev. L. G. Gabbert in charge. The hymn "Abide With Me" and "The Lord's Prayer" were sung by John Macek, Jr.

Pall bearers were Martin Michel, Albert Stoll, Lester Stoll, Fred Kokemiller, Virgil Kokemiller and Leonard Peter.

Life Sketch

Ella Marie Michel, the daughter of Carl Stoll and Caroline Kokemiller was born April 21, 1889 in Boone County, Iowa. On Saturday, Jan. 6, she suffered a heart attack and was taken to the Hamilton County Hospital at Webster City where she died on Jan. 8 at the age of 72 years, eight month nd eight days.

She was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on May 26, 1889 and on March 23, 1902 was confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, remaining member of the church throughout her entire life with the exception of three years which she spent in Minnesota.

On Nov. 21, 1910 she was united in marriage to John G. Michel of Boone, Iowa. To this union seven children were born, four daughters and three sons.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, twin sisters and one grandchild, who died in infancy.

Surviving are her husband and seven children: Mrs. Orla (Ann) Jacobs, Mrs. Raymond (Velda) Lutjen, both of Des Moines, Mrs. James (Caroline) Varner of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. John (Melva) Sherman of Des Moines, Carl of Cheyenne, Wyo., Loren and Kenneth, both of Boone County, Iowa, a brother, George Stoll of Boone County, 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
