Last Rites For Ernest L. Secor Friday, July 8

Funeral services for Ernest L. Secor, who died in the Story County Hospital July 4, were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2, with the Rev. T. A. Thompson of Baxter officiating.

Mrs. Harry Sutherland, soloist, sang "Golden Bells" and "Abide With Me." Mrs. Leonard Franz was at the organ.

The casket bearers were Raymond Clark, Alan Secor, Lauren Secor, William Secor, Ralph Western and Myron Wilson.

Burial was made in the family lot of the Baxter cemetery.

Obituary

Ernest L. Secor was born April 9, 1881 on the home place south of Melbourne, a son of William S. and Anna J. Secor.

He was educated in the rural schools and at the Newton high school. He was a member of the lass of '06 at Iowa State University in electrical engineering.

Preceding him in death were a brother Albert and a sister, Mrs. Valeria Crandall.

Surviving are he following brothers and sisters: Perry of Ft. Dodge, Wilbur of Melbourne; Arthur Secor of Keosauqua; Mrs. C. A. (Florence) Western, Elkton, S. D. and Mrs. Edward (Clara) Dysart of Los Angeles, Calif.
