Services for Mrs. Nellie Larson Held At Palestine Church
Services were held at the Palestine Lutheran Church, Thursday, June 28 at three o'clock p.m. with the Rev. Clyde Brueland, Pastor of the church, officiating. Mrs. Noel Larson was organist and accompanied the soloists Mrs. Edward Larson who sang "Beyond the Sunset" and Pastor Brueland who sang "My God and I." Six nephews served as pallbearers. They are Homer Lee, Lawrence Nelson, Ralph Baker, Alfred ---er, Cloyd Hall and Lester Michaelson.
The funeral meditation was based on Matthew 11:28. Interment was in the Palestine Cemetery.
Obituary
Nellie Larson, daughter of Halver and Ellen Michelson, was born on Aug. 30, 1890. She passed away at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, June 20, 1960, at the age of 69 years and 10 months. She had been ill the past year.
Mrs. Larson had spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was baptized and confirmed in the Palestine Lutheran Church of Huxley, Iowa.
On Feb. 2, 1910, she was united in marriage to Andrew Larson who preceded her in death in October 1953. Her parents and 1 brother, Jacob, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Larson is survived by 1 sister, Sadie Lee of Slater, Iowa. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
