Services Held in Wisc. for Mrs. Chris Haugsted

Funeral services were held in the Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, Wis. for Mrs. Chris Haugsted who died in the St. Luke Hospital Saturday, May 21, 1960.

Rev. Martin Eggers was the officiating clergyman. The songs were "Rock of Ages" and "Just As I Am." Casket bearers were Edward Peterson, Gerald Nelson, Myron Larsen, James Sorenson, Ralph Seramur, and Edwin Long. Interment was in the Arlington Park Cemetery.

Obituary

Mary Haugsted, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lars Rasmussen was born in Ames Dec. 13, 1888 and lived in Nevada most of the time until 1926. She spent the remainder of her life in Milwaukee, Wis. At that time of her death she was 72 years, 5 months.

On May 6, 1909, she was united in marriage to Chris Haugsted, who survives with one son and three daughters: Harold Haugsted, Pauline Haynie, Helen Masloski, and Geraldine Karel one daughter-in-law and three sons-in-law; and five grandchildren: Susan and Linda Haugsted, and Richard, David and Christine Karel. There are also four sisters: Ida Nelson, Vernon Center, Minn.; Evelyn Larsen, Nevada; Ruth Nelson, Boon; Ruby Nelson, Maxwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lena Peterson and Anna Sorenson, and one brother Otto. Mr. and Mrs. Haugsted celebrated their Golden Wedding May 6, 1959.

Relatives from Iowa and Minnesota attending the funeral Wednesday afternoon were Edward Peterson, Boone; Mrs. Earl Prescott, Mrs. William Cody, Mrs. Clyde Kopf, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Larsen of Nevada; Mrs. Philip Nelson and James Sorenson of Maxwell; Ruth Nelson, Boone; Ida Nelson, Vernon Center, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Larsen and family, Webb; and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Nelson and son of Mapleton, Minn.
