Last Rites Monday For Emily Kimble
Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Kimble were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. David Ash officiating.
Mrs. Norman Dobson, organist, played a number of selections before and after the service.
The casket bearers were Mac Allen, Mont Hanssen, Frank Menzel, Fred Sorenson, William Stevenson and H. M. Vinsel.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.
Obituary
Mrs. George (Emily) Kimble was born Jan. 9, 1882 at Omaha, Neb. where she spent her childhood and completed high school. She attended State Normal School at Peru, Neb. and taught school for a number of years.
On Feb. 25, 1908 she married George A. Kimble at Omaha, Neb. She is survived by one son, Lowell R Kimble of Springfield, Ill. and two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Mann* (Vivian) of Nevada and Mrs. Asa White (Dorothea) of Belmond, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1941, one son in 1925, her parents, one brother and two sisters. In addition to her immediate family, she leaves ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The Kimbles came to Nevada in 1908 and farmed in Milford township until 1931. Mrs. Kimble was a member of Milford Social Hour Club and president of the Milford P. T. A. Both Mr. and Mrs. Kimble were active members of the Nevada Methodist church, having become members July 12, 1908 under the pastorate of R. E. Shaw.
In 1942 following her husbands death, she moved to Ames where an accident in her home resulted in burns that caused her death on April 14, 1957.
A memorial fund is being established at the Nevada Methodist church.
