Tragic Death of Their Baby

Special to the Journal.
Slater, Nov. 25--Mr. and Mrs. [Wm.] Conyers arrived here from [Clinton] Thursday evening on the sad m[ission] of burying their two year old [son] who had met such a tragic de[ath] eating paris green which he had [pick]d up in remote part of the bac[k yard] while out playing. He was out[side] until noon and seemed alright [until] about four o'clock when he b[ecame] violently ill, he was rushed [to the] hospital and every aid possible [----] administered but he passed a[way in] a few hours.

Funeral services were held [in the] home of Mrs. Conyer's mother [Mrs.] Bertha Fronsdahl Friday morn[ing at] 11 o'clock in charge of Rev. T[-----.] Four little girls, Marvel Carlson, [----]ryn Nervig, Beatrice Skola and [Dor]othy Peterson sang "Jesus Wan[ts Me] for a Sunbeam," and "God Will[Take] Care of You." They also ser[ved as] pall bearers.

The many beautiful flowers [-----]ened the deep sympathy of [friends] and relatives.

Besides the parents, a siste[r, a] brother are left to mourn the [loss of] their beloved little one. The C[onyers] had just moved to Clinton [----] weeks ago where Mrs. Conyer [is em]ployed by the C. and N.W. r[ail] company.
