Richard Brennan Died Wednesday
Richard Brennan, 50, native of County Kilkenney, Ireland, died at his farm home five miles east and a mile north of this city, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 and the funeral was held from St. Mary's church, Colo, this morning at 10:00, after which interment was in the Catholic cemetery at Colo. Tuberculosis was the cause of the death of Mr. Brennan.
Mr. Brennan, who was born in Ireland December 17, 1874, came to America and Story county in 1903, landing in port in New York April 11 of that year.
Coming out to Story county he worked as a farm hand for a time but for some years has been farming for himself.
He leaves a wife and one child 8 years of age, besides other relatives and many warm friends who know and respected him for his many kindly and admirable qualities and characteristics.
